Medicinal plants have duly been implicated in the development of typical antineoplastic agents. Here, medicinal plant under discourse, Trichosanthes dioica Roxb., commonly known as Pointed gourd English, Potol Bengali, is a climber vine found wild and cultivated all over plains India its neighbouring countries for fruits, consumed favoured vegetable. The present work attempts to assemble critically assess literature outcome potential T. root. effects involved cytotoxic, antimitotic, antitumor cancer chemopreventive root - mediated through multifaceted mechanisms. antimitoitic antioxidant together may furnish mechanistic grounds reported activities.
